While roofers in the Southeast can typically work year-round, winter weather can wreak havoc on business for those who live in not-so-warm places like the Midwest and Northeast. Sleet, freezing rain and/or snowfall make it impossible to install shingles, not to mention pose a huge safety risk for workers, both on and off the roof.

But lucky for roofing contractors in those colder parts of the country, business doesn’t have to come to a complete halt whenever Jack Frost moves into town for the season.

One way to keep a steady flow of jobs throughout the winter (and all year long) is to promote roof inspections, further filling out the menu of services that you offer.
